1. What does community mean to you and why is it important?
To me community is a place of belonging, a place where people support me and where I feel most comfortable. Community is like one big home where everyone works together to help people succeed and protect one another: A place where we can learn and grow as a unit. It is a safe place where we meet new people and create new relationships. In communities you learn many skills to help you in the future. You have so many experiences that lead you to new opportunities. You gain leadership roles and other social means. Communities are full of trust, loyalty, friendship, and most of all happiness. People rely on each other; they have fun together and sometimes even work on achieving common goals they share. Communities are important and are needed in society. It helps shape who we are today, and also makes it possible for success among the people in it. The support of a community can go very far. It is important to realize what it means to you to be a part of the unit around you. The people around you can be a big influence on you, and the importance of your community is extraordinary. No matter where you are in the world, how old you are, or who you are, there will always be a community around you. As you grow up (move away to college) you will meet new people and share new communities.

  1. I really like this sami. Its exactly what I would put to explain a community, but you stepped it up to a new level. I believe you're 100% right about how the community always helps one another bring eachother up. I also agree 100% with why you think its important. Communities are to be trustworthy and loyal, and bring many friends to one another. Great job :)

  2. This essay was asking you to talk about you, but you talked aobut YOU! I made some changes to the essay you might like, so if you look in the classroom2 folder, expository writing, and college applications and scholarships you will find it. Becasue it didn't do what the prompt was asking of you, you can repost this paper if you want a better grade.
